The largest online retailer today, Amazon is hosted on the main site www.amazon.com in the United States, and has country specific domains at Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Japan, and China. Founded in 1994 by Jeff Bezos, the site went online as amazon.com in 1995.

Amazon buys from multiple sources. As one would expect, new releases are supplied directly by publishers, and due to massive quantities Amazon is able to negotiate knocking cheap deals with them. There is a good opportunity though for wholesalers to sell back catalog items. Especially if you have stock of titles that are not easily available in the market, Amazon may be willing to buy them for you. And in large quantities.

Another good option is to have your online shop listed on Amazon. You can create your online shop in the Amazon system, and have your products listed every time a buyer searches for a particular product on Amazon. If your price is competitive, your offer will be listed when customers click on Buy button. If they buy from you, you are expected to ship the goods directly to the customer. Or, you can choose the Fulfill by Amazon feature, and then Amazon will ship your goods to the customer for you. Of course you will have to ship your goods to Amazon warehouse before this may happen.

Retailers have informed that they have already sold out the long-expected Wii U console, a week before the release date. Nintendo is working hard to supply more stock so that retailers can sell even more during the pre-Christmas sale boost, but it seems that many retailers, especially small, will not be able to satisfy demand for the new console system. Amazon still takes pre-orders as of 26 November, offering 8GB Basic Pack, 32Gb Premium Pack, and 32GB ZombiU Premium Pack. Additional demand is pushed by news that Nintendo has confirmed Wii U's TVii service in Europe.

There is currently huge potential for wholesale trade of this item. Wholesalers need to be quick though because once more stock arrives after the release, the demand may drop significantly as it was case with 3DS consoles. At this point, all the stock you can get will sell instantly. Be careful with the restock though several weeks after the release, the drop of demand may be sudden and steep.
